Lisa Maki
Lisa Maki was born in Manila, Philippines and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and some "masteral" units in Psychological Services.
In 1999 Lisa set up her own HR-OD (Human Resources in Organizational Development) consulting firm in the Philippines. She specialized in the design and conduct of training programs, workshops, and seminars for various organizations including multinational companies like Kraft Foods, Dole Asia, Kimberly-Clark, KPI Elevators, and more.
Despite her success Lisa felt empty and unfulfilled. Something was missing.
In 2001 Lisa was faced with a challenging situation in her business that made her felt “out-of-control” for the first time in her career. She started searching for answers again. She went to a bookstore and found a book that she thought will shed some light to what she was facing. That evening she flipped opened the book to a page, and lo and behold, the topic was about SURRENDERING TO THE DIVINE WILL. Lisa found herself crying uncontrollably that night. She knew God was telling her something. She finally got down on her knees and asked God to come into her life. She surrendered her life to Jesus that day.
Life for Lisa was never the same after that night. She began reading her Bible and discovered more and more answers to her questions. Eventually she realized that everything she was teaching in seminars was worth nothing if it was not founded on God and His Word. She then revised all her training programs and made them Bible-based.
Soon, Lisa’s passion for teaching evolved into preaching the Word of God. She closed down her business and went full time ministry. She became Communications Director of a church where she was responsible for all corporate communication materials including brochures, newsletters, presentation tools, bulletins, and other related documents. She was also given the privilege to start and lead a women’s ministry.
In 2006 Lisa founded a ministry in the Philippines whose main thrust was to heal hearts and transform lives. This opened doors to ministry opportunities in the women’s prison where Lisa regularly preached and did counseling to a group of 80 women. It was in the same year when Lisa was commissioned as minister by Full Gospel Assemblies, Int’l (Pennsylvania).
All of Lisa’s self-realizations prompted her to put all her insights, experiences, and God’s revelations in writing. Thus was the beginning of the saga of her book UNVEIL ME.
Lisa has several writings still waiting to be published.
Her Marriage and their Ministry
In January of 2009 Lisa finally moved to Washington to be with her husband, Jason. Together, they started a church in 2009 called God'z Gang -- a place where people were free to exercise the gifts that God has given them ... a church that broke away from the rigidity, conventional, and restricted practices of other areas in the body of Christ ... a place that served as a training ground to equip believers to be true soldiers of God. After a year in operations, God called Jason and Lisa back into the streets, where they can better exercise their gifts. They continue to serve God through their evangelistic efforts and activities, reaching the lost, the saved, and those in between, through their music, videos, preachings, writings, and social networking.
Jason and Lisa are also known as babymoses and babyzippo (short for Zipporah).
